When Groom Guy opened inside Salamander DC in April 2025, our vision was simple: share what luxury men’s grooming could look like inside a world-class hotel. We believed premium grooming belonged alongside exceptional hospitality, creating an experience that serves not only hotel guests but also the Washington, DC community.
Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming business travelers, diplomats, wedding parties, local professionals, and visitors from around the world. Together, we’ve shown that a luxury barbershop can become an integral part of the hotel experience enhancing guest satisfaction while creating a destination for premium men’s grooming in Washington, DC.
Today, we’re excited to continue that journey.

The Potomac Hotel joins Autograph Collection, one of Marriott’s distinctive lifestyle brands, while Pyramid Hospitality assumes management of the property. Together, they bring a renewed vision centered on memorable guest experiences, community engagement, and destination-driven hospitality.
That vision closely reflects Groom Guy’s own philosophy.
From the beginning, our goal has never been to simply operate a barbershop inside a hotel. Our mission has been to create a hospitality experience where premium grooming, concierge service, and exceptional customer care come together in one place.

As The Potomac Hotel begins this exciting new chapter, we’re equally excited about what’s ahead for Groom Guy.
In the coming months, we’ll continue exploring new ways to enhance the guest experience through concierge services, curated Groom Guy Experiences, conference and group offerings, wedding packages, luxury retail, and community programming.
We’re also looking forward to exploring future opportunities within the Marriott ecosystem, including how Groom Guy Experiences could one day complement Marriott Bonvoy Moments and other guest engagement initiatives.
